Our Technology

At Ardsley Eye Care, we strive to bring our patients the most thorough ocular evaluation using state-of-the-art technology. This is reflected in our advanced diagnostic and imaging equipment, which are used to help identify and diagnose a vast array of acute and chronic eye conditions affecting all layers of the eye.

Optical Coherence Tomography

Our Zeiss OCT captures high-definition images of every layer of the retina. This is especially useful in managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy, as well as a host of more rare retinal conditions. Our OCT also allows for the imaging of the front segment of the eye; another useful way to examine for certain types of glaucoma.

Retinal Camera

Our high-definition fundus camera produces a flat image of the retina. For patients with blood vessel abnormalities, glaucoma, or macular degeneration, it’s the best way to get an overall sense of the health of the entire retina and optic nerve.

Visual Field Analyzer

This device measures and maps a patient’s sensitivity to light in different areas of their peripheral vision. This is done mostly for patients who have glaucoma, or who have had a stroke, but occasionally field test may turn up more obscure issues along the visual pathway.

Lens Edging

Our in-house lab allows us to craft standard prescription lenses the same day you come in for your exam. This allows for a much faster turn-around time on many glasses, in addition to improving our ability to control for quality and troubleshoot.
